1. What this campaign is

The Just Charlie Talent Challenge is a community talent-challenge fundraising campaign hosted on RaiseTheStage. Funds are collected in connection with the campaign to support Charlie's journey and the operation of the challenge, as described on the campaign pages.

2. What your payment is

Payments made through this site are not charitable donations unless expressly stated otherwise. Depending on the action you take, your payment is one of the following:

• Entry fee — a registration fee paid by a contestant's guardian (or an adult contestant) to enter the talent challenge.
• Vote pack purchase — a promotional campaign-support purchase that credits votes to a contestant after payment is verified.
• Sponsorship payment — a business sponsorship payment for recognition and placement in connection with the campaign.
• Direct campaign-support payment — if a direct campaign-support option is offered in the future, it will be clearly identified as such at the time of payment.

None of these payments are tax-deductible charitable contributions, and no payment should be treated as such, unless a specific campaign expressly states otherwise in writing.

3. How campaign funds are handled

In plain language, here is how funds collected through a campaign are handled:

• Payments may support both the campaign beneficiary and the operation of the campaign.
• Gross payment amounts may be reduced by payment-processing fees, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, platform fees, campaign-service fees, and approved campaign expenses.
• The amount ultimately distributed to a beneficiary may therefore be less than the total amount collected.
• Campaign-specific pages or agreements describe the beneficiary and the intended use of proceeds.
• RaiseTheStage does not guarantee a specific net amount to any beneficiary unless expressly stated in writing.
• Campaign results and proceeds may be affected by refunds, disputes, failed payments, or campaign cancellation.

No statement on this site should be read as a promise that 100% of any payment goes directly to a beneficiary.

4. Campaign beneficiary information

Each campaign page on RaiseTheStage should identify:

• The person, family, organization, or cause the campaign is intended to support
• The general purpose of the campaign
• Any material limitations on how proceeds are intended to be used

For the current campaign, the beneficiary and purpose are described on the Just Charlie campaign page: the campaign supports Charlie and his family on his journey with Hartnup disease, along with the operation of the challenge.

5. Not a registered charity

RaiseTheStage is not a registered charity or nonprofit organization unless otherwise stated. If a specific campaign is operated by or in partnership with a registered charitable organization, that will be clearly identified on the campaign page.

6. Payment processing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. Your payment method details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Votes, entries, and sponsorships are only credited after Stripe confirms the payment.

7. Refunds, cancellations, and changes

Campaign payments are generally non-refundable once processed, except where required by law or in the case of verified payment errors. Refund requests are reviewed manually by the campaign team. Here is what generally happens in specific situations:

• A campaign is postponed — payments already made generally remain in place, and the campaign team will communicate updated dates and options.
• A campaign is canceled — the campaign team will review affected payments and determine appropriate handling, which may include refunds.
• A payment is reversed or disputed — any associated votes or benefits may be reversed while the issue is resolved.
• A sponsorship cannot be fulfilled — the campaign team will contact the sponsor to resolve the issue or review the payment.
• A contestant is removed or withdraws — associated payments are reviewed by the campaign team; they are generally not automatically refunded.
• A technical problem affects voting — verified technical errors (such as a completed payment where votes were not credited) are corrected, which may include crediting votes or issuing a refund.

8. No guaranteed outcome

Participation and payment do not guarantee any particular fundraising total, prize, placement, or outcome for any contestant or for the campaign as a whole.
